Selinko strengthens its business presence in the Asia-Pacific region

Brussels, Belgium – December 1, 2014 – Selinko, the object identification solution offering brands bank-level anti-counterfeiting technology combined with direct marketing services and secure online sales, today announces the opening of its first Asia-Pacific office located in Taipei. This new office is Selinko’s second international expansion, following the opening of its US office in Washington in September 2013.

Allen is based in Taipei, Taiwan and is a seasoned executive specializing in APAC markets.  Allen brings over 17 years of experience leading technology sales, services, and operations for both large public companies as well as software start-ups; and has repeatedly played key roles in successful launches, turnarounds and growth strategies for global companies in APAC. Allen comes to us from Digital River where he was the Group Vice President and General Manager for Branded Manufacturer Business Unit, APAC.  Prior to joining Digital River, he served as the Managing Director of Greater China Operations for Distribution Service Technologies, an ecommerce provider for automotive aftermarket that was acquired by Solera, and Vice President of APAC for RiverOne, a supply chain software company that was acquired by JDA Software.

Allen has wealth of experience in digital marketing, ecommerce and supply chain operations for branded manufacturers, and holds dual master’s degrees from Cornell University.

By extending its international presence in the Asia Pacific market, Selinko will be able to support European brands with a pro-active brand protection strategy to grow on the Asian and Pacific markets free from counterfeiting issues, while answering the latest digital trends in terms of mobile marketing activations.It also aims to answer increasing demands of local high-end APAC brands looking for a highly secure authentication technology to reassure their consumers at purchase in local high-risk markets, while driving strong engagement on mobile, online or even in store.  Selinko has for objective to reinforce its position on the international wines & spirits market, but also to drive sales on new markets such as consumer electronics, footwear, and fashion and to develop its patented secure online sales solution.

Most recently, the company has raised 1 million euros to extend its commercial activities and last May, during Vinexpo Hong Kong, launched CapSeal, the first bank-certification-level solution to protect wine and spirits brands against fraudulent bottle refilling.
